Dale County serves as the economic hub of Southeast Alabama as it is the home of Fort Novosel and the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence which has an annual direct economic impact of more than $1 Billion in Southeast Alabama. In addition to Fort Novosel , Dale County is home to advanced manufacturing and technology-based employers such as Bell Helicopters, Computer Sciences Cooperation, Michelin, Brown Manufacturing, and MAHA, USA.
Dale County is also the second most populated County in Southeast Alabama with 50,251 residents.
